14th Annual Walk for Terry Fox

posted Sep 23, 2020, 10:10 AM by Kimberly MacDonald

St. Bernard School is proud to take part in this year’s 40th Anniversary of Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope and St. Bernard’s 15th Annual Terry Fox Walk/Run during the week of September 28th.  All monies raised are for the Terry Fox Foundation and will further the cause of cancer research.  Throughout the week, we will also be learning about the legacy Terry created 40 years ago when he began his Marathon of Hope.

Our walk/run will look different this year, as it will be done socially distanced and during each class’ own physical education time.  It will occur either in the school yard or around the park across from our school.  Parent volunteers will not be permitted this year.

Another change is that all donations will be done online this year.  Please help show your support by donating at the following website:

http://www.terryfox.ca/StBernardESOttawa.

Students can even get involved by creating their own fundraising page under their school name: https://terryfox.org/schoolrun/students/

Thank you for your supporting our school in the fight against cancer and continuing Terry’s legacy!
