In the event of inclement weather resulting in cancellation of buses, the lunch program will be cancelled and your account will be credited.  Please send your child to school with a lunch. 

Virtual "Meet the Teacher"

St. Bernard School with be hosting "Meet the Teacher" on Thursday September 24th.  Homeroom teachers will send parents an invite to a Google Meet on Sept. 24th.  We will hold 2 separate sessions for Primary and 2 separate sessions for Junior.  A slide deck for each teacher will be embedded in the School Slide Deck which will be shared on Sept. 24th so if you are unable to attend the google meet with your child's teacher, you can view their presentation at your convenience by clicking on their name which can be found on the staff page of the School Slide Deck.  

Primary- session 1- 4:30- 4:45
Junior session 1- 4:45- 5:00
Primary session 2- 5:00- 5:15
Junior session 2- 5:15- 5:30

Welcome Back!

We hope you enjoy reading our Welcome Back to School Book which contains some useful information for our St. Bernard families. 

Please note that the dismissal routine for the Sept 8th to 11th is as follows due as there will be no buses running this week:

  • Kindergarten and Grade 1 students will be at the Kinder Gate  ready to be picked up at 3:30 pm (for the first week of school only).

  • Grade 2 and 3 students will be at the Walker Gate (near Church) to be picked up at 3:30 pm

  • Junior students will be dismissed from class at 3:45 pm to the Walker Gate


As of the 14th of September, all walkers will be picked up at the walker gate (beside the Church).

If your child will be 4 years old by December 31st 2020, they are eligible to begin Kindergarten this fall.  You can register on-line by using the link on the right hand side of this page.  Please click on our Welcome to Kindergarten link to see what our full day Kindergarten Program looks like.

Catholic Education Week - May 3 - May 8

Monday - For the ones we love - send a message of hope to someone in your family.

Tuesday - For the ones who teach us - send a message of hope to your educator(s).

Wednesday - For leaders - send a message of hope to a leader in your community/world

(government leaders, school board leaders, your parish priest, Archbishop Prendergast, Pope Francis) 

Thursday - For those in need and those who care for them - send a message of hope to a nursing home, hospital, The Mission, Shepherds of Good Hope, frontline and healthcare workers.

Friday - For yourself - send yourself a message of hope - for today and the future.

ST. BERNARD SPIRIT WEEK

April 6th - April 10th

Share your selfies with your teachers or through Twitter. Remember to tag @StBernardOCSB!

We’re looking forward to students & staff sharing the St. Bernard School spirit together! 

Monday April 6th - show your St. Bernard pride and wear our school colours or your St. Bernard clothing.


Tuesday April 7th - Random acts of Kindness Day. Make someone else’s day by doing an act of kindness. Make someone else’s bed, set the table, send a message to a family member. 


Wednesday April 8th - PJ Day. Post a picture of yourself in your favourite PJ’s! 


Thursday April 9th - Get Active Day. Show us how you’re staying healthy. Do you go for walks, ride your bike, (being sure to maintain social distancing) do online YOGA? Post a picture of how you’re staying healthy.


Friday April 10th - Gratitude Day. Draw a picture or write a poem or paragraph about what you are thankful for. Say a prayer for the front line workers. Don’t forget to share with your teacher.
